Day 805: Feeling good ’bout 46

First day of my forty-sixth year (or was that yesterday? Let’s say first full day and split the difference).

How will I celebrate post-birthday? By getting over the extravagant amount of food I ate on my birthday, first of all; second, by doing some work from home. Not glamorous, but what can you do? Third, helping a friend with a project; fourth, the end of the laundry, fifth, move some furniture, fifth set up a WAFFLES! pre-record for next week.

In short, like the Zen koan “after enlightenment chop wood, haul water”, it’s pretty much business as usual around here.

Day 804: Hey, I’m 46!

It’s my birthday today! A certain amount of self-reflection, which makes me both happy and sad, but mostly happy, on reflection. I’ve done a lot of stuff that most people don’t get to do — published comics, been in a documentary, travelled to England, built the world’s smallest art gallery, created a podcast network. Who knows what’s coming?

Well, I know — a Master’s in Law is coming. But who knows what else?

Better fitness, that’s for sure. Birthday present to myself is running shoes for the spring, as the old ones are a year past useable for any outdoor purpose.

Groovy. It’s going to be a good year.
