Day 426: What is up with 3 a.m.?

I seem to have a “wake up at 3 a.m.” thing now. I have no idea why. It’s not even close to daylight savings, which would be an explanation.

It’s been three nights now that I’ve been waking up around three. How do I know it’s three? I don’t have a clock in the bedroom. But I inevitably shuffle downstairs to go to the bathroom, and notice the time. Last night, I noticed that we’d left the lights on in the kitchen, and there’s a stove clock.

Why 3 a.m.? Why can’t I get back to sleep after? Who knows? My body is a wonderland of dumb stuff happening.

Light pre-show Saturday exercise this morning, and looking forward to radio and the now traditional Saturday nap. I’ve cancelled LAN party plans for the day to get some stuff done around the house; I have a few projects that need to get done, and a sadly neglected side hustle that needs tending to. March is on track so far. Not doing the LAN party is probably the smartest move I’ve made in some time in terms of not getting pulled into a big day of dumb snacks.
