Well, trying to sleep in the foster’s room because my wife was getting in late yesterday did not work out. He’s got too much energy! Crazy lil spud.
That, my wife being out late, and some non-work-related irritations gave me a big ol’ bout of insomnia. So I was up until midnight, and then again at 2 a.m. for a while… leading to, of course, sleeping in, no exercise, etc.
It’s dumb. I’m going to try to, I don’t know, do some push-ups or something right now just to get something in. I’d like to say I exercised, even if it is pretty minimal.
Long term, I’m not sure what to do about this. I practice pretty good sleepy hygiene, I just get a rampaging brain at night. I’ve taken sleeping pills in the past, but they leave me groggy and weird the next day.
The ultimate solution is obvs to solve my brain problems! But that’s easier said than done… here, look at a kitten.
